COWZER FAMILY GENEALOGY

Descendants of John Cowzer and Maria Hughes	Notes
	John1813: Land Steward (Estate Manager). Worked on estates in Co. Cork, and then Favour Royal (Tyrone/Monaghan). Married in Tallow, Co. Waterford. Died in Clare (believed). Buried in Inch, Downpatrick, Co. Down. All Cowzers down to Thomas appear to have been Methodists, and based in, or around, Belfast. Of the Belfast Cowzers it appears that Doreen and her two daughters are the only remaining. And there are no other descendants from here with the Cowzer name. Thomas1859: married in Dublin, to Catherine a Roman Catholic. All his children were reared as Catholic, and apparently all subsequent generations are Catholic. It appears that all the remaining Cowzers are descendants of Thomas and Catherine.
	Fred: Son of Fred and Kate, I believe is the Fred Cowzer who died when the Irish Pine was torpedoed by the German U-boat during the war.
